Good Housekeeping Vintage Soaker Knitting Pattern... adapted

I've always loved this vintage soaker knitting pattern written for Good Housekeeping back in 1959.  The fit is brilliant for Madysen's plump rump and rolly polly thighs.

Like usual, I didn't use any of the pattern given.  From the picture, I made up my own pattern based on Madysen's measurements.

However, I will be modifying my pattern again to be knit in the round so there's no pesky purling or seams to sew.  I'm hoping to have it up on Ravelry by Friday, if all goes well...

  1. this is beautiful!!

i love how you give it your own twist!

  2. Thanks, Jen. It really is a wonderfully simple pattern!

  3. Liz, they are super! Love those baby pictures too. ;)
